Friday is April Fools Day…  Here is my 2010 post with some ideas + one I added for a new spin… Have you fooled your kiddos today? It’s pretty hard for a four year old to understand the concept of April Fools…  But my seven year old gets it and I had a good time last year playing a few tricks on him.  I started by putting a fork in his cereal bowl!  I layed out pj’s for him to put on for the day.   At dinner we had breakfast.  At bedtime I put princess sheets on his...

I have never been a fan of the boxed Valentine’s Day cards.  I love all the ideas shared on blogs and websites about creative Valentine’s Day Cards.  In 2009, I shared some here.  Here are our 2010 cards for the Princess and Batman fan.  You can print them for your child by clicking here.  They print four per page.  If you buy postcard paper to print them on, they will print on those and you will not have to cut them.  The Princess one you need to attach an edible wand to it with...

It will fade it time! As a teacher I loved when Lucky would visit my classroom and make a mess and leave the...

I am getting ready to present to a group of preschool parents where one of my “bestest” gal pals teaches preschool. I will be discussing Kindergarten Readiness and Learning Activities Parents can create at home. One of the things I love to share with PreK through second grade parents is using food to make learning fun. I always am using food with my own 3 and 6 year old. I used it in my classroom all the time to trick the kiddos into learning!!! Let’s set the scene: Summer will be here soon and there will be a few...
