On the facebook page I shared that I think we should say, “GO BREAK A PENCIL!” to teachers on the first day of school! In theater they say, “Break a Leg!” I am a huge believer in the Gail Godwin quote… Good teaching is one-fourth preparation and three-fourths pure theatre.” So yes, BREAK A PENCIL!!!

My Tip is to laminate some school notebook paper to lay it on. Since it was a brownie, it was very easy to cut and make into a pencil!
If you are a parent, this would be a fun first day of school snack to have ready when your kiddos return from the day! Teachers you deserve cake… make one for yourself!
