Holy Week Resources

Hello Friends. Besides being a Public School Third Grade Teacher I also have taught Faith Formation at my church for over 10 years. I wanted to repost some Holy Week resources. Many are free and some link to resources I love. I hope you can use them with your own children this week.

Resurrection Eggs Free Resources and More:

Ever since I started teaching Faith Formation (CCD, Sunday School…) I have always used the Resurrection Eggs during the Lent season in my third grade classroom.  I also have a copy of Benjamin’s Box: The Story of the Resurrection Eggs . The story is great and matches the eggs perfectly.  It is nicely illustrated and each page tells a story to match the item in the egg.  The kids seem to enjoy the story and hearing it from the point of view of a little boy.  I highly recommend getting this book to compliment the eggs. In the past for my own children, I hid the eggs around my house and told my kids to find them but not open them.  Once we had all 12 eggs we took turns reading a page from the book and opening the egg that went along with the page. In past years of teaching Faith Formation I have either made eggs with the class or made a lapbook with my class. If you curious how I teach this in a third grade class and how my friend Amy teaches it to a preschool class – click here!

Resurrection Egg Lap Book: You can read about those here and print the files needed to make them for free.

You can purchase Resurrection Eggs here.

Here’s a little book to use with the eggs.  It has all the 12 eggs and details inside it.  Click here to download the mini book!  Just print it and have your students cut the pages and staple in order…  You may want to later play Resurrection Bingo.

Lent Bingo

I use this at our Resurrection Party.  It’s a great review of the Easter story. It could be used at home with your children during lent.

Below is a fill in the blank Stations of the Cross Activity Sheet that I created for my Faith Formation Class:

Using the cutest Holy Week Clipart from Charlotte’s Clips I created the sheets above for my class and my own children many years ago.    Click to download the set of four Holy Week printables! Thanks and have a wonderful Easter!

Hope these resources will be helpful and fun for your family during lent!
